Fancy Friday: A Nurse in Heels

Last week’s Fancy Friday feature kickoff was a grand success and very pleasing to each of you…SGC followers. It’s no surprise that I have another beauty to share and a list long enough to keep you returning for the remainder of this year.
Today’s FF feature is someone who I’ve known since I was a little girl. Although I am barely out of my 20s, that was a long time ago. Jennifer’s younger sister Pamela and my sister were best friends for quite some time. I met the family through that relationship and have known them ever sense. Quite frankly, she was one of the prettiest girls walking the Big Town of Crowley and I admired her beauty simply because it wasn’t that big of a deal to her. She never flaunted it; but it was evident at first sight. I don’t feel like she has aged a bit. Here is a lovely lady, who I have kept in contact with via her Facebook profile seeing how she is a great mom and wife to her family, alongside and beautiful, fashionista.

Jennifer Hebert-Bias is a wife, mom and nurse. She grew up in the small town of Cankton, Louisiana; then later moved to Crowley, Louisiana. She graduated from Louisiana Technical College in the Practical Nursing program and has been a nurse for 10+ years. She also hold an Associate Degree in Accounting from the University of Phoenix and is currently enrolled at Excelsior College pursuing an Associates Degree to become a Registered nurse. Jennifer states “I really do not feel I have accomplished anything yet. Although, I have two degrees from college; my biggest accomplishment is being a mom and wife. I have so many goals that I’ve set and need to reach before I can say I’ve accomplished anything, those degrees are baby steps.”

I asked Jennifer a series of questions and here is what she had to say:
-What Inspires your style:My mood inspires my style. If I feel like I want a laid back look; I’ll wear jeans, a tank top and a pair of heels. If I’m having a date night I might were a dress or flare legs. My best outfits are the ones I just throw together right before I head out.
-What is your favorite season when it comes to dressing fashionably and why? Summer and Fall are my favorite seasons. I wear my bright colors and flowy dresses for the summer and fall I can dress up or down. I can wear my boots with a dress or some jeans and a cardigan.
-Who is your fashion icon? Gianni Bini and Antonio Melani.
-What do I love most about getting dawled up? I enjoy just being pretty sometimes after having a busy week with work and my family. There is nothing more worth wild than getting my hair and makeup done. I really love it, especially when you have a hairstylist and makeup artist that makes you feel like a million bucks. I’m blessed that Kara Wildridge has the patience to deal with me and she never fails.
-Is your style more for comfort or look? My style is for comfort. I’m not worried about the look. I wear what compliments my body and I expresses who I am through my clothes. I’m all about comfort.
-Where do you spend most of your time shopping? I shop frequently online; at Dillard’s; websites of different designers (Michael Kors, Vince Camuto, and BCBG); and Zara; but I like to find unique pieces of clothes whether its a shirt or pair of pants that I can easily pair with something in my closet. Yes, I love labels.
-What piece of clothing is your go to? My go to piece of clothing is any color tank or muscle shirt and jeans. I’m all about comfort. If I want to dress it up, I might wear heels or booties and if I want to dress it down, I might wear chucks or sandals. You have to make sure your outfits can be versatile. Quick change from day to night look.
I like all 3 looks, with the fringe shoes being my favorite piece. I like how Jennifer wore the navy romper with nude shoes. I definitely need to grab a pair for my closet.
Lovely picture and love your style. Share with us how Jennifer has inspired your look.
